Bungalow Baden-Württemberg

Baden-Württemberg is one of the biggest and densely populated provinces in Germany, with Stuttgart as its capital. It is located in Southern Germany and borders France and other German provinces. The region has a huge importance for German and European nature as this place is the starting point to some of the biggest and most important rivers in Europe.

The bungalows in Baden-Württemberg give you the chance to explore the untamed nature of this German Province. Reconnect with nature and enjoy the mild weather, especially during the spring and autumn months. The bungalow hosts will ensure all of your needs are met, that you feel as comfortable as possible, and will even advise you on the best places to pay a visit to.

Nature of Baden-Württemberg

Baden-Württemberg is most importantly where one of the most popular national parks is located – the Black Forest. Black Forest National Park is one example of a natural area loved by Germans for many years, but recognized as a national park just recently in 2014. This protected territory is amazing and the mountain range after which it is named will surely take your breath away. Black Forest is covered with dense vegetation and is located near the famous ski and wellness resort of Baden-Baden. Schwarzwald Mountain begins from the Rhine valley to the east; the river Danube also flows through the area. A popular misconception is the fact that the genesis of river Danube is located here. In reality, Donauquelle is just a spring which the locals have decided to point as the starting point of the river for obvious reasons. Danube actually begins where the meeting point of the rivers Breg and Brigach is.

If you want to spend some time near a lake and admire the clear mountain waters, then you will have that chance too. Lake Constance for example is located on the north foot of the Alps and on the water of the river Rhine, the shores of this lake are located in 3 different countries; it is also the third largest lake in Central Europe.

Activities

Taking the Hochstrasse scenic route is an amazing way to reach some of the best views in Baden-Württemberg. The route will take you to enjoy the panoramas of Mummelsee Lake. There are also other trails around the lake which you can embark on. The Philosopher’s Walk is another famous trail which allows you to enjoy nature and also to immerse yourself in German culture. The hiking path is located on the north bank of the river Neckar, near Heidelberg. The path follows the river through the vineyards and is named in such an interesting way, as it was a favorite spot for a peaceful walk for philosophers centuries ago. The path will lead you to the best sceneries in the regions, amazing views of Heidelberg and its Old Town, as well as the famous Heidelberg Castle. The longer route option will eventually lead you into the forest where you will see some of the tallest trees in Europe.
