Do you have a family celebration, a holiday with a group of friends or a bachelor party? In this ruralhut there is plenty of room for groups (up to 10 people). There are five bedrooms, two of which with private bathroom. The other three bedrooms (one with four poster bed) use a (larger) bathroom with shower and bath and separate toilet. All bedrooms are on the ground floor. There is a living/kitchen with large table and in the garden there is a covered terrace and a gazebo on the water. Parking can be found behind the accommodation. In this house you will find a recreation room that is equipped with all the comforts upstairs above the kitchen. Thanks to the large flat screen TV, you do not have to miss your favorite program or that important football match during a weekend away. Or watch a DVD from the collection. It is cozy to sit on the top floor of the cottage, under the roof that is still held up by the original trusses. There is a cupboard with games, books and magazines to fight any boredom. There is also a good shuffleboard, for some old Dutch fun!

The bugs in the shrubs along the waterfront make gentle buzzing sounds, while the light of the setting sun sheds the world in an orange glow. In the sky the smell of grass and barbecue hangs. Two canoeists paddle along. Their laughter and the puddle of water resemble the banks of the Hunze. And this Hunze flows right behind this beautiful place. In the summer you can discover the vast splendor of the 'Hunze' with the canoe and kayaks available or swim and fish in the river water. Besides rest and nature there is a lot to do nearby. You can walk to 'Café 't Keerpunt' within two minutes, where you can dine in the evening and enjoy live music. 'Spijkerboor' is the perfect base for a day of Drenthe or Groningen. You are close to the city center of Assen and Groningen, the Drents Museum, Emmen Zoo, 'Hunebedcentrum Borger'. Even the little ones can entertain themselves in the surroundings, for example by visiting the 'Sprookjeshof' in Zuidlaren or the 'Kabouterland' playground in Exloo. And both Zuidlaren and Veendam have a subtropical swimming pool.
