The nature house is located in the Serra de Monchique, a protected nature reserve. The house consists of 2 attached houses and is located in the middle of the mountains of Monchique. The nature house is on the ground floor of an old Portuguese house that was completely renovated and restored to its original state in 1994. The 2 houses are not rented out at the same time, only during the summer months the owner occupies the other house.

The environment is overwhelming: no neighbors only the original nature where you can relax. For hikers and nature lovers a unique region. From the house you have a view of the many old cork oak trees belonging to the plot. Next to the house is the beautiful large garden overlooking vast valleys and hills. In the distance you can see the mountain Picota (774m). The garden is full of fruit trees, ornamental bushes and flowers, among other things. From the house the west coast (magnificent) can be reached within 45 minutes, the south coast (no less fascinating but very touristy) within 35 minutes. The distance from the wide access road, with 2 gas-paved lanes, to the house is about 500 m. of which the first part goes down rather steeply. Arriving at the house you get the impression of being in another world.
