Enjoy a wonderful holiday in the beautiful Dordogne. This charming ruralhut is equipped with all modern conveniences, thanks to a large renovation in 2014. The ruralhut offers a lot of privacy with its private 11x5 meter swimming pool and outdoor (heated) shower. The site has many places where you can relax and read a book, or to be active at. Table tennis, badminton, game of bowls, or hiking, it’s all possible. Relax on the sun loungers by the pool, have a nice wine, and barbecue under the large veranda or on the terrace at the back of the house, you won’t get bored here.

The ruralhut is located just within the Perigord Pourpre (purple, the color of the wine) and on the edge of a small hamlet called Lentignac, which is a part of the municipality of Sainte Alvère. Better known places in the area are Le Bugue, Sarlat, Perigueux, and Bergerac. From Amsterdam you can almost always fly to Bergerac for very attractive prices. A car can be rented in Bergerac for roughly 200 euros a week. The ruralhut is quiet but not isolated, there is a lot to do in the immediate area such as visiting caves, including gouffre de Proumeyssac, the gouffre de Lascaux and gouffre de Rouffignac, or châteaux such as Castelnaud, Beynac and Milandes (Josephine Baker). Additionally there are weekly markets, the brocantes and especially the night markets (marche nocturnes) are very cozy and you can enjoy delicious there food too. Horse riding and tennis are both possible in the surrounding area. For those who love golf, the most beautiful golf course of the Dordogne is only 15 minutes away from the cottage. You can find La Marterie in Saint Felix de Reilac, or you could golf in Perigueux and Lolivarie in Saint Germain de Belvès. For families with children there is a fun children’s paradise 15 minutes away from the cottage where you can spend the day, and there is also an Indian Forest survival park at the campsite le Mondou which is one hour away from the ruralhut.
