At about 500 meters from the authentic mountain village of Allos, in the sunny southern French Alps, is where this ruralhut is set with five decorated apartments. The ruralhut is set in some kind of villa park between the trees. Inside you have a sitting room with a TV and DVD player with DVDS, and this room also has a large south-west balcony with a beautiful view of the valley. The bedroom on the first floor has a double bed, bathroom with bath, and second toilet. There is a small mezzanine with two mattresses (for two extra people over the age of six) above the bathroom. Outside you have a large communal garden with a stream, and you can park along a dead end road. The landlords also rent out other ruralhuts in the same chalet. The relaxed ambiance of the Provence and the amount of sunshine make the French Alps so attractive. As soon as you cross Grenoble, the Col de Croix Haute, you will notice that everything; the odors, the colors, the houses, change and the people become more friendly. The region is famous due to the Lac d’Allos, Europe’s largest natural mountain lake at an altitude of 2230 meters. A walk to the lake is do-able for both young and old. You can go on spectacular walks by the Gorges de St. Pierre, a not too steep path that leads over a ledge through the gorge with perpendicular walls. There is a beautiful natural swimming pool in Allos, but it is also nice to simply bath and picnic somewhere along the river.
