It is beautifully situated in the woods about two kilometers outside Zorgvlied (province of Drenthe) near Diever, Appelscha and Oosterwolde. Squirrels and many bird species can be admired around the nature house, as it is located in a private forest. The house is located on a small park and from the house you can walk or cycle straight into the beautiful nature park Drents Friese Wold. The house is nicely decorated, comfortable, cozy and equipped with many amenities, including a fireplace, extensive kitchen equipment (including a dishwasher), a smart TV, washing machine, a filter coffee maker as well as an original Italian espresso machine (just bring the right coffee yourself :-), and a large trampoline. The Drents-Friese Wold National Park is one of the largest nature reserves in the Netherlands. In 2000, over 6000 hectares of forest, heathland, shifting sands and stream valley grasslands were designated as National Park. The Drents-Friese Wold belongs to the most beautiful and important nature reserves of Europe and is therefore designated as Natura2000 area. There are many walking and cycling routes around the vacation home. By bike you can reach places like Diever, Vledder, Appelscha and Noordwolde in about 30-45 minutes. One place of interest is the hiding place from the Second World War. The Shakespeare open-air theater in Diever is also easily accessible from the cottage. Groceries are readily available in Diever, Appelscha and in Oosterwolde.
