This nature house is located in a rural setting on the West Frisian Omringdijk, in the middle of the West Frisian polder landscape, just twelve kilometers from the coast. The living space is on the second floor of a thatched cape, which stands in the yard of the landlords' farmhouse. You have a beautiful wide view of the surrounding meadows. The studio has its own entrance and is tastefully decorated in a rural style with a mix of antiques and modern comforts. The kitchenette has a two-burner stove, refrigerator with freezer, microwave, oven, coffee maker, kettle and toaster. The bathroom is spacious, with bath, separate (rain) shower, toilet and sink. The living area is furnished with a sitting and dining area, wood stove, TV, Wifi, comfortable double bed and a bedstead.Outside you have a private parking and terrace with picnic table, deck chairs and a beautiful view over the meadows. In Schagen, Callantsoog, Alkmaar and Hoorn you will find many cafes, stores and restaurants. The coast is 13 km away. Callantsoog, Grootte Keeten, Sint Maartenszee, all worthwhile and free parking!

The kapberg stands in the yard of our stolp farm, surrounded by meadows, bird nesting areas and beautiful views from the Westfriese Omringdijk. This dike protected the polder from the Zuiderzee until 400 years ago. Now the immediate surroundings offer plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling and bird watching. Feel free to bring your binoculars, because there is plenty to see here. Spoonbills, harriers, waterfowl, sheep, cows and horses are the permanent residents of the Westfriese Omringdijk and surroundings. You can also walk in the Zwanewater near Callantsoog, a beautiful hiking area in dune landscape and in the Wildrijk in Sint Maartenszee.In the wooded dunes near Bergen and Schoorl you will find many kilometers of hiking and biking trails to enjoy a day of wandering in nature. Westfriesland is an area rich in water where there are also plenty of places to find a fishing rod. Along the wide beaches of the Noordkop you will not find promenades with high-rise buildings, but wide, natural dune strips with here and there a cozy beach tent.
