The nature house is beautifully situated on a one-acre property, free at the back of the barn with its own private private garden and terrace, with wide views of garden and fields. The furnishing is as much as possible with natural materials. The water is purified through a gaia aqua filter. The landlords manage the property with some friends. There is also an accommodation for rest, study, meditation and retreat. There is a washing machine and extra oven there that can be used. There is a fire basket and bowl for making fires outside. On the grounds are several gardens, butterfly and bee friendly, lawn, fire pit, young orchard, with mowed paths and a pond. Unless in use for something else, feel free to enjoy these. There are also special healing gardens (in progress). There are two reasonable bikes available for you to use and 2 new ones for rent. Electric bikes can be charged in the shed. There is WiFi and TV. Living room is also 2nd bedroom.

The nature house is located in beautiful surroundings with alternating meadows, fields, forest, heath and fens. It is part of the Drents-Friese Forest and you can make beautiful walks and cycling tours. It is often really quiet here, there is little light pollution and in the twilight you regularly encounter a deer. If you want to go a little further away, there are beautiful areas to visit, such as the Fochteloërveen, the Linde, the Tjonger, the basin of the Drentse Aa, the Reestdal and the Weerribben. Historically, it is also an interesting area. Boschoord was once intended to be the last Colony of the Society of Weldadigheid, but was forested instead of reclaimed due to lack of money. The Braiding Museum in Noordwolde and the Colony Museum in Frederiksoord are good sources of information about the history of the area. Many characteristic colony houses can still be seen in the area. Vledder (Glass Museum), Noordwolde and Diever (Shakespeare performances) are the nearest places with all amenities. Between Vledder and Frederiksoord is an interesting sea museum, Miramar.
