In this nature house you can enjoy peace and nature. The cozy cottage has large windows overlooking the forest edge and the old haystack. Outside and under the haystack you can sit comfortably and sometimes the stork sits on the pole above you clattering! From the cottage you can walk straight into the forest or field. You can make beautiful walks from here. Car and bikes are easy to park and for electric bicycles is an outlet available. The cottage is well insulated, can be easily ventilated and has underfloor heating. It is therefore comfortable in all seasons. The kitchen has an induction hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and a combi microwave. Downstairs, the toilet and shower are separate. Upstairs you sleep on good beds that you can slide together if necessary. From the bed you have a view of the woods and the field behind the house. The nature house is part of a hamlet in the hamlet of Tonden with almost 300 inhabitants. The historic Hanseatic city of Zutphen is within cycling distance, as is the Veluwe with the village of Eerbeek for daily shopping. You go from the living room to the kitchen with a step so it is important that you have good mobility.

The grounds around the nature house are part of Natura 2000 area Landgoederen Brummen with the special Empese and Tonden heathland, the Leusveld and Voorstonden. This is not without reason, because the varied landscape with estates, pools and hedgerows is an important habitat for the crested newt. You can also hear the mysterious garlic toad in the pond with any luck in the spring. Tawny owl, kingfisher, chiffon harrier, yellowhammer, raven, green and black woodpecker are species you may encounter here. If you love birding and really want to see everything, the hosts know someone who knows every spot in the wide area. The grassland here is flowery with many butterflies and insects. In the field behind the cottage there are cereals and sunflowers in the summer. This attracts many birds, such as greenfinches, and insects, such as the sable grasshopper. From the nest behind the house, the storks keep a close eye on it. Honeysuckle in the forest edge has great appeal for the lesser kingfisher butterfly. Deer show up regularly and badgers like to scurry around here at night. Very occasionally there are nocturnal visits from red deer.
