This beautiful yurt (6m diameter) sits in its own private field at 950m altitude, just below an ancient Catalan hill farm. There is a very comfortable double bed, futon and extra mattress (or 2) and cot if required. The summer kitchen has all you need for cooking; and there is a hot water shower and compost toilet for your private use. There is a large terrace with 2 sun beds and umbrella for shade. There is also a private wooden paddling pool for cooling off on a hot day. Also on the property for shared use is a swimming pool (6m x 12m), a boules pitch and playground with a big trampoline, swings, playhouse, sandpit etc. There are lots of farm and domestic animals which children are encouraged to help with. You have the option to participate in summer activities; 1 communal meal, per week, a welcome walk and aperitif with donkeys (Sunday afternoon, included in booking), bring your own apero by the pool Friday afternoon. Yoga around the pool and massages also available in the summer.

This nature house is only accessible by a 2km farm track. There are no neighbours; you are surrounded by forest and the sounds of nature. You will hear the birds tweet away happily, see lizards catching bugs and hear the bees buzzing away in the wild flowers. The beautiful village of Corsavy is a 20 minute walk away where there are 3 restaurants and a cafe, and the village pool and playground. There are many other little villages and hamlets to visit, and fabulous hikes to do around the property and from Batere which is a short drive away. 20 minute walk to the river with swimming pools. The sea and beautiful seaside town of Collioure is a 1 hour drive away, there are 2 lakes you can visit, and Ceret is a lovely small town with great cafes and restaurants, a lively Saturday market and the Modern Art Museum. However, once you arrive at the yurt you might not want to leave!
