My farmhouse stands on a hill with a wonderful view over the olive groves (in clear weather) to the sea. The studio is downstairs with a kitchen and a dining area , next to a sofa or single bed , a Swedish stove . A staircase leads to the bedroom, with a large bed, a small library with a good selection, next to a secretary for paperwork. In the back is the clothes corner and behind it a small shower room and WC. Your apartment is separate from mine and has a separate entrance. A large garden and a grape pergola provide shade, everyone will find a corner here to linger, read or simply relax. A pretty pond delights the nature lover, frogs croak, dragonflies buzz, birds come to visit, a small flower idyll. Below on the large meadow is a wooden pool that provides refreshment in summer. (Nude bathing is allowed!)

It is very quiet and the air is clean. It is a 25-minute walk up the hill to the village of 400 souls, where it is worth exploring the labyrinth of alleyways and steps to reach the castle at the top. On the main street is the Ristorante "Il Barrino", which offers pizza and various typical local dishes. For shopping go by car to Ribolla, 7 km, there is a large COOP and on Tuesday there is always a market. For sea lovers it's a 30-minute drive to the pretty little town of Massa Marittima, with its beautiful cathedral and piazza, and a 25-minute drive to Siena or Florence. But for me, it's all about taking it easy, going about your day without a plan, letting yourself drift.
