The nature house was built in 1986, at the same time as the observatory. The house with terrace in the front and large, enclosed garden in the back, is situated in the middle of the beech forest and on the edge of the Brunssummerheide nature reserve. In the house you have access to an L-shaped living room with open kitchen, toilet, bathroom with shower and bath, a spacious bedroom of almost 25 m2, a laundry room with washer and dryer and of course the terrace in front and the enclosed large garden at the back of the house. It is wonderfully quiet and relaxed to see here. In summer even with a swimming pool in the garden, several sitting areas, bbq and campfire.

The area Schrieversheide is part of the large nature reserve Brunssummerheide, where you will find the observatory, the pancake restaurant, work shed with flocks of sheep from afar. Natuurmonumenten and it is a starting point (with a large car park) for hiking, cycling and mountain biking tours through the moors. The observatory is open to the public every Friday evening and the pancake house is open almost all year round. Bus connection is 8 minutes walk from the house and within 2 km there is a Lidl, Aldi and 3 km shopping centre Heerlerheide.
