Eastern Norway, Norway

This Nature house is situated in the middle of the Kurdøla woods, on the border of Kragerø and Drangedal. The hut was originally built by hunters and has been rented out to tourists for several years. It has no electricity and no running water. However, we have installed a small solar panel that provides 12 volts and is sufficient for a lamp and charging a phone or camera. Heating is provided by traditional wood stoves and a fireplace. It is located directly on the small lake "Trollvann" and can be reached by boat or on foot, across the forest. The water is very clean, but we did not test it for drinking water quality. There is a small shed with a plum loo at the back of the house and you can also store wood here to dry. From November to the beginning of May there may well be snow and ice here so it may be more difficult to get to the cottage.
Nature and surroundings
The whole area can be reached by car, barriers prevent anyone from driving in with their vehicle. It is pure nature, with beautiful vegetation, lots of animals and small lakes. The local hiking association has marked some hiking trails, but you can go wherever you want, just be sustainable with nature.
