Waking up in a picturesque village, less than 5 kilometers from Amsterdam? In picturesque Watergang lies this nature house, a beautifully restored farmhouse from 1880. Peace and space all around and Amsterdam within easy reach! The ground floor of the cottage (approx. 48 m2) has its own entrance and is equipped with a spacious sitting area and large dining table. The kitchen is equipped with a two-burner electric stove, combi oven/microwave and refrigerator. The bathroom has a toilet, shower and sink. There are two double beds. One king-size bed that can be curtained off and one queen-size bed, stowed under the big bed and easily rolled out from under it. Each bed has Auping coil base with individually adjustable head and foot ends. Wifi is available and bedding, towels and kitchen set is provided. Check-in is available 24x7 and parking is free (charging station within walking distance). Use of front yard with a view.

A stone's throw from Amsterdam lies the small, historic ribbon village of Watergang, nominated as the "most beautiful village in the Netherlands" in 2020. The cottage is centrally located in the village near the church (from 1642) on the narrowest village street in the country. Watergang is sandwiched between the Natura 2000 areas "Ilperveld" and "Varkensland", part of Amsterdam Wetlands. Both are ideally suited to explore by canoe or whisper boat. Borrow one of our kayaks or canoes or book a small tour with Wetlands Safari's neighbor. Outside the breeding season, walk along the boot trail through the Pig Country to the impressive Broek in Waterland. Or borrow two bicycles for a tour of the area. There is no store or café in Watergang, but the village does have a very frequent bus service (5-12 times an hour) towards Amsterdam, with the last bus around 01:00. In 6 minutes you are at Amsterdam Noord station (metro) and in 11 minutes at Amsterdam Central.
