Nature house has a layout as originally built. Its function was living quarters for a smallholder farmer with his family. It has been completely renovated, but the original layout has been maintained. Three bedrooms, one on the first floor (upstairs room with single bed) and two upstairs which are easily accessible by normal stairs. The plumbing has recently been completely renewed. Large exciting garden with monumental trees.

Rural environment with lots of forest and landscape elements. Sandy soil and in the past known as flax region with many flax retting plants. A flax museum in the village shows the history of the region. Various (cross-border) hiking and cycling routes from the nature house. Close to the Belgian-Flemish border. Across the border, visiting nature and culture with many possibilities is accessible. Characteristic Flemish villages nearby. Also visit to the vibrant and culturally rich Ghent (25 km) is highly recommended.
