The gîte is a small, detached house set in a large Mediterranean garden. Built entirely of dry stone, it has the look of the masets you see in the vineyards. A large enclosed terrace faces south-east and overlooks the park of holm oaks. The gîte is air-conditioned, wi-fi, classified***, "Accueil vélo" and "Vignobles et Découverte" approved. The interior is a warm 35 m², for 2 to 4 people. The kitchen is fully equipped (hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, small electrical appliances), with a dining area for 4. The bedroom has a 160cm bed. The living room has a 2-person sofa bed and opens onto the terrace. Bathroom with washing machine and separate toilet. The gîte is partly powered by solar panels. An electric car socket is available (3 kw slow recharge). In high season, minimum one-week rental, 10% discount on the second week.

Between Nimes and Montpellier, close to the pretty Provencal town of Sommières (5 km) and its "voie verte", Galargues is a small village nestled between vineyards and garrigues. Away from the village, our estate occupies a small wood of holm oaks; this large Mediterranean garden of 4000m² is filled with aromatic plants to the sound of cicadas in summer. This quiet corner of paradise is home to our house and another small gîte. Our cats frolic in the garden. A small river (often dry in summer) runs below the estate and is the starting point for walks through the vineyards and garrigues, with many discoveries just a short distance away: the Pic Saint Loup, the gorges de l'Hérault, the sea, the Camargue, Agues-Mortes, the great Roman sites of Nimes and the Pont du Gard.
