Here, the small road ends at the foot of the gîte, and becomes a hiking trail. There's a great sense of calm around this old barn. The gîte is independent, with its own garden and terrace. It's the ideal place to recharge your batteries, in the peace and quiet of the countryside. On the ground floor, the living area features a small, fully-equipped kitchen opening onto the dining room and lounge. A wood-burning stove heats the entire gîte, accompanied by auxiliary radiators. Upstairs, the first bedroom has a double bed, the second has two single beds and a shower room. In the garden, a small outdoor lounge awaits you, along with deckchairs for sunny afternoons. You can enjoy your home-cooked breakfast in the fresh air, using local produce. On the terrace, a table sheltered by a parasol and a barbecue allow you to cook and eat outside, to the sounds of life in the forest.

The gîte is located in the heart of the Sidobre in the Haut Languedoc regional nature park between Castres and Brassac. It's on the southern flank of the lower mountain, surrounded by woods where wild animals live happily. L'écolieu is a preserved area. Take advantage of this interlude to get to know the forest, its animals and its inhabitants. Here ... botanical trails, the Sécun menhir, walks and hikes starting from the gîte, pétanque court, fruit and mushroom picking, yoga classes, wellness massages, pottery classes, visits to the vegetable garden, local produce for sale....
