Recently renovated spacious vacation home with 4 bedrooms, 2 living/dining rooms, 2 bathrooms, free view and garden all around. Within walking distance of the Wadden Sea. Close to Harlingen, Franeker and Leeuwarden. The Buitenkant consists of two former farm workers' cottages from around 1900, merged into a comfortable detached vacation home. The house has recently been thoroughly renovated. The 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are equally divided between the ground floor and the second floor. The rear bedroom served as a stable in the past. The original stable windows are still there. The dining room has a wood stove and there is a separate living/TV room with a box bed. The kitchen has an induction stove, oven, dishwasher and large refrigerator with freezer. There is a washer and dryer. There is good wifi reception (fiber optic). Around the garden of the house is a ditch making the house less suitable for small children. Due to its location in nature you do ns have spiders/other insects.

The house is located about 2 kilometers outside the village of Tzummarum and about 700 meters from the mudflats. Both at the front and the back there is an unobstructed view. From the living room and the bedroom you can see the dike on the Wadden Sea. On the other side you can see the village in the distance. Next to the house is a country with a horse, chickens, a rooster and 2 peacocks. So there are a lot of animal sounds. Furthermore, there are many birds, rabbits and at dusk you can also see deer in the fields. When it is dark you can see the lights of the lighthouses on the Wadden Islands. From the house it is about a 10-minute walk to the mudflats. Close by are Franeker and Harlingen with its many cafes and harbor. From Harlingen you can make seal and mudflat walks or join a fishing boat at sea to fish (yourself). There is also a fish market in Harlingen every Thursday and Friday. The capital city of Leeuwarden is about 20 minutes away. There are many beautiful beaches along the IJsselmeer.
