A surf hack without the sea, but with a private beach and a wide view. You live, eat and cook outside - on the covered porch - and sleep in the HY bus and/or caravan. In both the caravan and the bus is a double bed. In the caravan there is also a small sitting area which can be converted into a single bed. Bedding is provided. On the veranda there is a large lounge sofa, a wood stove for chilly evenings and an outdoor kitchen with gas stove and sink. Crockery, pots and pans are provided. Shower outdoors, in the outdoor pool, with a small boiler for hot water. Behind the caravan is a private toilet stall with marine toilet (flush with a bucket of water). You can also use the common toilet block.

We live in the Thiérache, a beautiful and non-touristy region just across the Belgian border, in the foothills of the French Ardennes. Under the name Atelier de la Charité, we rent out five pitches and four other accommodations. On our large property (3 ha) we let nature take its course for the most part. Cars stay in the parking lot, there are no paved paths. There is plenty of space so you can seek both the silence and the company of other guests. In the summer we organize communal meals. The surrounding landscape is green and rolling, meadows with hedges alternate with woods, the so-called coulisse landscape. There are many watercourses and a maze of country roads with small villages. You can make beautiful walking, cycling or canoeing trips and visit the fortified churches typical of the region. From April to October, flea markets (brocantes) are organized on Sundays and holidays.
