This nature house is a so-called "Gulfhaus," a farm type that was widely built in Lower Saxony between 1750 and 1900 (compare with a small farmhouse in Drenthe). In 2015-20 we completely renovated the farmhouse and equipped it with attractive furniture and furnishings. For example, you will find a new kitchen with all amenities and there are patio doors to the terrace. In the living room the old beams have been brought back and there is a cozy sitting area to relax. Located on a country road, the house is surrounded by a large garden with several terraces, and a garden house for bikes. The farmhouse has been converted into a 4/5-star vacation home and has three fully equipped bedrooms: 2 with double beds and 1 with two single beds. There is also a spacious hall, an open kitchen and separate bathroom & toilet. Everything is on the ground floor (140m2). There is also a washing machine and through a fiber optic cable there is good Wifi available throughout the house. Relax!

The farm is located near Westerstede and the cozy university town of Oldenburg - about 290 km from Utrecht - and is located on a generous private plot that is entirely at your disposal. Near the farm, about 10 minutes by bike, is a large recreational lake with a sandy beach and a terrace with a restaurant. Further away there is the sailing lake "Zwischenahner Meer". At the back of the farmhouse you have an unobstructed view over fields with old Wallhecken, with a riding school in the distance. Nature in the area is described as 'Park Landschaft', where meadows, forests and 'Wallhecken' alternate. The region offers wonderful cycling and hiking. There are several cycling routes with junctions that start from the immediate vicinity. There are also several interesting cities such as Oldenburg, Leer, Bremen and Hamburg to visit.
