In Rieder, in the Harz region of Germany, there is a station. Built in 1891. It is a building full of character and history. Around 2000, Deutsche Bahn shut down schedules around this station and the building as well as half of the platform and a piece of land next to it, was put up for sale. After some seven years of renovation, it opened as of 2016. This is your chance to stay in an old station building! The Suite is the top floor. You have to go up two still original spiral staircases to the top. There you have a fantastic view towards Quedlinburg and the decades old chestnuts at the driveway. It is very spacious with a large bathroom and a unique bunk bed and a loft with fixed stairs to the double bed.

A few hours from the Netherlands lies the wonderful nature reserve "Der Harz". A fascinating vacation destination that offers nature lovers much: from hiking or cycling, enjoying distant views or climbing the steeper slopes to, for example, fanatical mountain biking. But also motorcyclists, with all the winding roads that the Harz is rich, have plenty to do. In addition to the natural beauty, there are many historic towns, some hidden, that are well worth a visit. Quedlinburg for example, but also Wernigerode, Goslar or Stolberg. And how about the thermal baths, relaxing in beautiful spring water. So a destination where you, as nature-lover and/or culture-lover can pick up your "harz"!
