The chalet sleeps 4; a double bed (160x200) and a bunk bed (80x200) Furthermore, there is a gas stove, sink, gas stove, coffee maker, Senseo coffee machine, radio, porcelain for 4 persons, cutlery, glassware, pots and pans. There is a dining area and a refrigerator. Fresh water you can get with jerry cans at the water point. You have a veranda with a garden set including cushions. No pets are allowed in the chalet. The cottage is next to a standard orchard with pear trees about 100 years old. Around this orchard is another very old, thick, undulating beech hedge. In the "hoeswei" a completely new standard orchard planted with old apple and pear varieties, surrounded by a hedge of holly and a forest of thirty acres. The yard is not paved or asphalted. The vegetable garden is located in the field on the so-called ash soil. This is surrounded on two sides by a beech hedge. Adjacent to the house plot is 1.5 acres of land, which used to be called The Gortmeulens Ven. This is an offshoot of nature reserve 'The Pês (Castenrayse Vennen). The estate forms the Heart of the Green Corridor: the area from the Gortmeules Kruus to the Pês. The farm is the heart of the Estate. Its maintenance and management has been taken over by Stichting Landgoed de Gortmeule. In short, a unique place in Horst aan de Maas with cultural-historical heritage.
