We appreciate something special in every season: a warming open fire on winter evenings, the heralds of the almond blossom in spring, a refreshing swim when the sun burns from the always clear sky, and in the golden autumn, we are fascinated by the formations of migratory birds preparing for their journey to Africa.

The cottage is about 15 minutes from the beach, which is a kite hot spot. Fishing is very popular and possible in Portugal. The dirt road to the village of Mexilhoeira Grande is 2.5 km. It leads directly past the lagoon landscape and you can admire flamingos and a variety of other water birds. In the village there are several supermarkets with fresh vegetables and fish, a butcher and various restaurants, pharmacy and doctor. Horse riding can be arranged. The Mexilhoeira Grande train stop is at the end of the country lane, before reaching the village, with connections to Lagos, Portimão and Lisbon. Parking is possible directly on the property.
