In 2022, we built our vacation home in this unique location and is equipped with all the comforts! Whether you are cooking together in the luxury kitchen, or snuggling up on the couch in front of the wood stove, everywhere you notice the intimate atmosphere and the beautiful incident light. The house is located directly on open water and has a large porch. If you want to explore the area by canoe, you can rent one per week. The kitchen is equipped with an induction stove with integrated extractor fan, quooker, dishwasher and microwave. In the pantry you will find the washing machine and dryer.Upstairs are 2 spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double box spring, the other bedroom has 2 single box springs. It is possible to add a camp bed. There is also a 2nd toilet on the floor.

The house is located exactly on the edge of the reclaimed Makkumermeer, which is what makes the location so special. From the veranda you can enjoy the wonderful view of the lower polder with its beautiful nature. There is something happening everywhere, in the foreground a moorhen swims towards her nest, in the background a harrier hovers over the green fields looking for a mouse. In the distance you can see the beautiful silhouette of the rural village of Allingawier. Unwind is the magic word here. Far away from everything, yet so close again. In 10 minutes by bike (or 20 minutes by boat) you are in the center of the picturesque village of Makkum. There you will find beautiful merchant houses from a distant past and nice restaurants all with their own character. Here you can enjoy a good meal and relax on the terraces. For sun lovers, a visit to the beach is definitely worthwhile.
