The cottage is on the dike, giving you a beautiful view of The Pit and the surrounding area. There is a private entrance with space for bikes or other belongings. The bathroom has a nice shower, toilet, sink and (towel) heating. In the living area there is a pallet stove for heating. A spacious sofa and a separate table provide plenty of opportunities to relax. There is a kitchenette with refrigerator, cooking stoves and a combination microwave oven. The cozy bedroom is separate from the living area.

Our cozy cottage is located in the Bommelerwaard, a region in the southwest of the Dutch province of Gelderland, situated between the rivers Waal and Afgedamde Maas in the West. There are several castles in the Bommelerwaard, Slot Loevestein, Kasteel Ammersoyen, Huis van Malsen, Kasteel Nederhemert, and Slot Rossum. There are many nice villages with eateries and terraces, and hiking and biking trails through nature and over the dikes. Also a wonderful environment for touring. All around you are rivers and dikes, the cottage itself is also a dike house. From here you look out over a lake, which you can also walk around. Here you really get away from it all! Within walking distance of our house is the village Nederhemert-Noord, with a supermarket, a snack bar and even a mini grocery store! With the ferry across the Afgedamde Maas, and you come to Nederhemert-Zuid, where you can enjoy a nice walk and find a large playground with a snack and drink.
