The Buitenlokaal - luxury overnight stay in a converted school with hot tub Enjoy peace and nature in a brand new apartment (August 2023) in our old school just outside Dwingeloo. The apartment is located in the former staff room which has been sustainably converted into a luxury space for up to 4 people. The kitchen is very luxurious with induction hob, microwave, oven, dishwasher, filter coffee maker and kettle. In the kitchen there are various basic products (coffee, tea, milk, sugar, olive oil and pepper, salt) There are cleaning products and dishwasher tablets. The first floor has underfloor heating and LED lighting. On the second floor are 2 bedrooms and an extra toilet with a sink. (On the largest bedroom with loft, 1 or 2 baby beds can be placed. The beds are made and towels (1 bath towel and 2 towels per person) and kitchen linen (kitchen towel and towel) are provided.

Outside The apartment has a private terrace with picnic table and 2 lounge chairs with table and sunshade. This place gives lots of privacy and has a rural view. Find a place in the hammock or somewhere in the field. Read a book, muse away under the tree and enjoy the sound of the birds. With a little luck you will see a squirrel climbing in the tree.Environment The Buitenlokaal is just outside the tourist town of Dwingeloo.Dwingeloo is an authentic brink village with several restaurants and terraces and stores. There is also an outdoor pool and and ice cream parlor. Recreational lake "The blue lake" is nearby and located in a beautiful nature reserve "the Leggelerveld. " In addition, we are close to nature reserves: "the Dwingelderveld" and "the Drents-Friese forest." A fantastic place for mountain biking, running, hiking and cycling. For culture lovers, the Shakespeare theater (Diever) is nearby and the colony of Weldadigheid (Unesco /Frederiksoord)
