The hut is spectacularly situated on a steep slope with natural forest. You live in & above treetops, with squirrels, at bird level. Romantic, imperfect, dreamy - "Waldphantasia"! Secluded location with 4 mostly empty huts nearby. Partly unrestored and without railings: stairs, some terraces, path system. A cupboard with personal belongings is locked.

The national park protects a unique, stunningly beautiful natural landscape: rivers, mountains, lakes, red sandstone cliffs, valleys, wildlife, beaver dams, primeval forest, starry skies ... Make the most of it: Hiking, relaxing, running, water sports, swimming, climbing, trail running. Tip - "long-distance run": Look out of the hut and choose a destination in the valley or on a hilltop. Then hike there without a map - a challenge for your sense of direction. The "Abenden" cable car station is just over 10 minutes' walk away.
