We live in the Zwagermieden, a beautiful nature reserve. The Zwagermieden are part of the so-called Wet Axis, a strip of connected wet nature areas that runs from southwest to northeast across Friesland. And close to the well-known Lauwersmeer National Park. With us are many meadow birds, cattle grazing in natural land where we keep insects and birds in mind. We manage ponddras lands ourselves. And behind our accommodation you will find a bird hide. We keep our own blister head cows and sheep. From here you can take the boat to Ameland and Schiermonnikoog in 25 minutes.
