This family room for 4 persons (part b&b) is located in a historic farmhouse on the banks of the river Waal, cycling distance from Nijmegen. Here you can hear the birds singing, the trees rustling, you have beautiful views and cycling over the dike into the city or the Betuwe. An ideal location between city and country. The room is located in the back house of the farm and is part of a b&b with another room (see other ad). The b&b has its own entrance, large common room and large square/terrace with picnic tables, benches and a fire pit. The family room (the studio) is on the second floor. The room is spacious: it has its own sitting area, a bathroom and two sleeping alcoves, one of which can be closed off with a door. NB: FROM 4 MARCH TO 3 MAY THE WAAL DIKE FROM US TO NIJMEGEN IS CLOSED! WE CAN THEN ONLY BE REACHED VIA SLIJK-EWIJK. However, the part from us to Brasserie de Altena will remain open. On and around the nature house there is plenty to see and do. The farm itself is surrounded by an ancient moat and many (fruit) trees. Outdoor cats, chickens and goats are present, as well as an annual pair of storks in one of the old oaks on the dike. Pheasants, swallows and owls also fly around, and due to nature-friendly management, many insects find ideal shelter here. And the view of the Waal never bores.In the vicinity are beautiful walks through the floodplains and estates Oosterhout and Loenen. Beach park Slijk-Ewijk is nearby. Cycling is also plentiful, in the Betuwe, along rivers, to Nijmegen or beyond. In the summer there is a bicycle ferry from Slijk-Ewijk to Beuningen, so you can make a nice round trip to Nijmegen.
