This (family) room for 5 is located in a historic farmhouse on the banks of the river Waal within cycling distance of Nijmegen. Here you can hear the birds singing, the trees rustling, you have beautiful views and you can cycle over the dike into the city or the Betuwe. An ideal location between city and country. The room (the (former) hayloft) is one of the two rooms in our b&b the Danenberg. The b&b is located in the back house has its own entrance, a large common room and a large square/terrace with picnic tables, benches and a fire pit. This room (the former hayloft) is on the second floor and is spacious: it has its own sitting area, bathroom and two sleeping alcoves, one of which can be closed with a door. This room can accommodate 5 people (one person on sofa bed). We also rent another room next door. It is also possible to rent both rooms including common room and spacious kitchen. On and around the b&b there is plenty to see and do. The farm itself is surrounded by an ancient moat and many (fruit) trees. Outdoor cats, chickens and goats are present, as well as an annual pair of storks in one of the old oaks on the dike. Pheasants, swallows and owls also fly around, and due to nature-friendly management, many insects find ideal shelter here. And the view of the Waal never bores.In the vicinity are beautiful walks through the floodplains and estates Oosterhout and Loenen. Beach park Slijk-Ewijk is nearby. Cycling is also plentiful, in the Betuwe, along rivers, to Nijmegen or beyond. In the summer there is a bicycle ferry from Slijk-Ewijk to Beuningen, so you can make a nice round trip to Nijmegen.
