The beautiful surroundings of the houseboat offer a different atmosphere for every season. In spring, you are surrounded by beautiful blossoms, budding greenery and newborn animals. In summer, the lovely cool water invites you to take a refreshing dip in the water covered with water lilies. The autumn colors of the trees call for a brisk walk. From the houseboat you can see many water birds on and around the water, such as the grebe, which returns every year, and the kingfisher, which regularly perches on one of the branches hanging over the water to catch its daily portion of fish. The houseboat is located in the middle of a vast and protected nature reserve. The landscape here is gently rolling and almost flat. This is the narrowest part of the Netherlands. The Meuse used to flow here and to this day the water in this gravel pond is in direct connection with the Meuse.
