Our nature house is a part (30 m2) of an authentic farmhouse from 1910, completely renovated in 2023, south of Assen. Everything is on the ground floor. It is cozy and modern, fully equipped and very tastefully decorated. The modern kitchen is complete with refrigerator, induction hob, combination microwave, kettle, egg cooker, toaster and a Nespresso machine with cups. The spacious, double bed has a, best tested, Mattsleeps mattress. Guests have a private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. There is a private entrance, parking space and a lockable bike shed. The building is heated by underfloor heating. You can relax during the summer, but also during the rest of the year. Guests can make use of 3 terraces, one of which has a fire pit (wood is available). An organic breakfast with honest and local regional products can be enjoyed until 11 a.m. at the bakery in Hooghalen (4 km).

Experience the experience of all seasons in the countryside of Drenthe, south of the Drenthe capital Assen. The nature house has a rustic location on the edge of the "Natura 2000" area "Stroomdallandschap Drentse Aa", this year also with breeding cranes right behind the house.It is located directly on the largest cycle path network in our country. Hiking, mountain biking and running are all possible in the beautiful, natural surroundings.Culture lovers can visit the Drents Museum (4 km), Remembrance Camp Westerbork (7 km), Galerie Wildevuur (6 km), the Hunebed Museum in Borger (15 km), the prison museum in Veenhuizen (18 km) and the Groninger Museum (4 km to the station in Assen, then 20 minutes by train). Special nature reserves are in the vicinity of the nature house: the Dwingelerveld (20 km) , the Fochteloerveen (12 km), the Hijkerveld (10 km) and the Drents-Friese Wold (25 km) are highly recommended for nature lovers.
