Discover the perfect balance between peace, space and the company of the meadow birds around our yard.Our guesthouse is a double studio with living room, fully equipped kitchen with coffee and tea facilities, bedroom, private bathroom and a beautiful view over the nature reserve the Schagerwad. The guesthouse is on the first floor, accessible by stairs, so the view is spectacular.

Our yard is located in the middle of the Schagerwad, a 100 ha nature reserve just outside Schagen. This area is known for its meadow birds. The black-tailed godwit, lapwing, oystercatcher and redshank are common guests in spring. In autumn and winter you can see teals, shovelers and hundreds of wigeons. During migration time, in late March/April, you'll see waders such as: bar-tailed godwit, sandpiper, snipe, ruff, curlew, golden plover, whitethroat, spotted redshank and greenshank. Groups of geese are present throughout the year. But also the kingfisher and the bittern are visible in the yard, and of course our nest of kestrels. Furthermore, our guesthouse is 3km away from the center of Schagen with the famous West Frisian market on Thursdays. The beach and forest are 10 km from us. Bike routes start directly from our yard, in the spring along the bulb fields and through the beautiful polder landscape with its many farms.
