The cottage overlooks the Vijverberg. An old lookout mountain of the old Naarden fortress which has disappeared into the sea. The Nachtegaal used to be situated on the Zuiderzee and the beach. In 1936 the sea was closed off from the IJsselmeer hence we are now located near the gooimeer. It is located on a dirt road in the woods near old Valkeveen. In the cottage is a living room with kitchen and an extra bed in a closet of 180x200 meters. There is a bedroom with a double bed of 160x200meter. In addition, a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. There is also a sauna here that can be used for an additional fee. In front of the cottage is a spacious stone terrace with garden furniture. In the garden there is a swimming pool which is open during the summer season. For joint use with the owners of the house that lies further down the garden. There live many animals, cats, dogs (small) and horses. So,fine if you are animal lover because they like to come and meet the guests.

Next to the lane is a beautiful forest that is also a bird sanctuary. There lives a pack of deer and other small game. Dogs must be on a leash here which also makes it very quiet. It is located by the lake. Furthermore, there is diverse nature around, sand drifts, forest, meadow, fields, water. You can walk without having to cross car roads. Naarden Vesting is about 7 minutes by car which is a beautiful old fortified town. Here are many nice restaurants and stores. You can also walk through the meadows. It is about a half hour drive to Amsterdam or half an hour by train. Laren and Blaricum are also worth visiting.
