In Lochem, on the edge of the hamlet of Zwiep, lies this nature house, a beautiful estate bought by the family in 1937. The house still breathes the atmosphere of our grandparents and has hardly changed over the years.The house has a tennis court and a large swimming pool (unheated). This year swimming is possible from April 26 to September 9. This nature house is an ideal and unique place to spend a weekend or week with a large group of family or friends. The house is spacious and offers the possibility for many people to dine or be together in the library, the large kitchen or in the garden, among other things. The grounds around the nature house are approximately 12 acres, complete with vegetable garden and orchard.

Around the nature house are many walking and cycling possibilities. The nearby surroundings, such as the Lochemse Berg, have ideal walking routes and it is also recommended to walk on the grounds of this nature house. There are 16 bicycles available to explore the area by bicycle. A warning for tenants with young children: There is a lot of water in and around De Heest, such as: the canal, the pond, the swimming pool, ditches and of course the river Berkel. Also at the playground, near the pool, vigilance is required. There are a few life jackets available.
