This nature house is a cozy cottage in the yard of a former farm in Alblasserwaard. The old barn has been converted into a cottage for up to 2 persons. You can also use a terrace and part of the garden. Here you have plenty of privacy. The house is equipped with a kitchenette, a bathroom with shower/wc and a separate bedroom with a double bed.

The vacation home is located on the small river De Giessen. You look out over the water, reeds, bushes and meadows. During the year you will hear and see all kinds of birds that are bound to the environment: water birds, meadow birds, several species of heron, the kingfisher and of course the reed warbler itself. Sometimes deer walk in the distance and even a beaver swam by once. The garden is managed naturally and a variety of garden birds live here. Thanks to the many flowers there are plenty of bees, bumblebees, hoverflies and butterflies flying around. The Alblasserwaard is a typical Dutch peat meadow area in the southern part of the Green Heart. In the immediate vicinity are several cycling, walking and boating routes. The historic cities of Gorinchem, Vianen, Leerdam and Schoonhoven are within cycling distance. Larger cities such as Dordrecht, Utrecht and Rotterdam are easily accessible by bus or train.
