Italy accommodation

Italian nature is one of the most beautiful in Europe. The country has been romanticized in not one or two novels, poems, paintings, or songs, but there is a reason for that. Italian biodiversity is remarkable and combined with a long history and unique culture, it is easy to see why Italy welcomes so many tourists every year.

But in order to get really close to the heart of Italy, you need to be close to its nature. Away from busy streets and metropolitan areas such as Rome, is where you will reconnect with the roots of this beautiful wild Italian nature.

A nature from the books

Travelling through Italy, you will encounter hundreds, or even thousands of picturesque places, unique small villages and breathtaking panoramas. Italy is a country of all seasons. You can find a new place to explore every day of the year. For example, spend the spring enjoying the warmth of the sunrays while learning a lot about unique plants and flowers on the rocky meadows of Gargano peninsula in Italy. In the summer, when the country is busy with tourists, opt in for a nice refreshing day on the beach by going to a less popular beach such as the Scopello and Isola Bella in Sicily.

Italy’s Riviera has a lot to offer and San Fruttuoso di Capodimonte is a great place to start. As a rather small beach which is hidden among high rocks and can only be reached by a boat, this place often stays hidden to many visitors to the Riviera. Nevertheless, the small village of San Fruttuoso provides the best views of the coastline. On the hills above the village, the building of an Italian abbey and its tower overlook all visitors and contribute to the fairytale-like landscape of the village embraced by the mountains.

Activities

In northern Italy you will find one of the most beautiful places not only in Europe but probably in the world. The Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and spreads across 32 km2. A few mountain ranges meet here creating a one-in-a-million landscape with gorges, high peaks, turbulent rivers and many lakes and swamps even at the highest places. Going on a hike here ensures you will meet some of the rarest animals in Europe - roe deer, charmois, and hoopoe – a beautiful and colorful bird, which is almost extinct nowadays.

A true Italian paradise preferred by gastronomists and adrenaline seekers, Monte Isola is a promise for an adventure. This municipality consists of three islands, located just a few kilometers away from one of Italy’s iconic destinations – Milan. The shores of the islands are washed by the waters of Lake Iseo – the fourth largest lake in Lombardy. A colorful combination of peaceful nature, amazing local food and crazy outdoor sports, the lake area is one of the last in Northern Italy to have successfully preserved its environment. You can take a ferry and travel across the islands, try the cuisine, go for a hike, or enjoy the water by renting a boat or trying a watersport.
