Log cabin Denmark

As one of the Nordic Countries, Denmark often amazes visitors with its unique architecture, stunning nature and Scandinavian character of its people. Most of Denmark is located on a peninsula named Jutland, situated just north of Germany in the North Sea. More than 400 islands, including the one on which the country’s capital is located, as well as two autonomous territories fall under the Denmark governorate. The natural beauty of this northern kingdom is truly remarkable and definitely worth the visit.

You can make your trip to Denmark even more authentic if you book yourself a log cabin. These wonderful natural homes are situated away from modern-day worries, problems and noise. You will be able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the beautiful Danish landscape of meadows and woods. Explore some of Denmark’s wilderness and rest in your own log cabin in the forest where you can enjoy a comfortable evening in nature’s company.

The Danish nature

One of the most beautiful places in Denmark, according to locals, is Thy National Park. This is the oldest protected area in the country and a true wilderness puzzle along the coast. Filled with dramatic dunes and sandy beaches, it’s a great place for a day of adventures and nature-admiration. Thy National Park is also a famous Dark Sky Park spot. The distance from big cities and light noise allows stargazers to enjoy the beautiful night sky.

Speaking of the coast, Denmark has its own “Caribbean”! An island in the Baltic Sea called Mon is famous for an area of pure natural beauty. Mons Klint stuns visitors with vertical white cliffs, which seem to pierce into the water of the Baltic. Mons Klint is also a UNESCO-recognized reserve.

Grenen is another amazing place to visit. This is a true natural wonder – a place where the Skagerrak and the Kattegat seas collide. The two seas collide and their opposite currents clash into each other, creating an interesting phenomenon in the water. You cannot swim in it, but you can definitely dip your feet and feel the strong sea currents.

Activities

How would you react if somebody told you to go to Denmark and explore the desert? Yes, the Danish desert is real! Rabjerg Mile is a migrating dune, as well as the country’s largest hiking dune. You can find it in North Jutland; there are plenty of trips organized through Rabjerg Mile; you can get active while enjoying the beautiful landscape of this Nordic desert.

Nearby, right on the edge of the North Sea, you will find Rubjerg Knude – a cape into the sea with a lighthouse on it. The area around the cape is truly spectacular, given the view of the sea it provides. The constant battle between sea and man is apparent here and each year waters snap away several meters of land. Therefore, pack the backs and visit Rubjerg Knude while it is still there!

Syvaarssoeen is a famous hiking spot. Yes, you read that right – a hiking spot! There are a few trails in this beautiful area. You can easily hike through the area with your kids, too, but there are also harder routes.
